Homebased is a one-stop platform for beauty home services – including nails, lashes, brows and facial. Homebased Mobile Website Redesign was a client project which took 12 days to complete, involving design process such as feature prioritization and heuristic evaluation etc.

Interview Stakeholder to determine Business Goals

Customers who uses home services are making their subsequent home services bookings directly with vendors. Stakeholders aim to redesign Homebased mobile website and convert 80% home services users to use Homebased.com for future visits.

Analysing the Current App

First, we tried out the services in the existing Homebased Mobile Website. Next, we did contextual inquiry to experience the whole process — from booking to going through a home service. We went on to conduct competitor analysis on potential platform looking at their filtering, inquiring, booking and payment services.

User Research Insights

From our 10 user interviews, we gathered how users learn about their home services, their experiences – from booking their first to subsequent visits and what would entice them to book through the same platform for future visits. The key findings from the affinity mapping were:
